Actually, I would suggest that she *does* want a single censor. A REAL monopoly if you will -- The US Department of the Internet.
She's got lots of company in that regard.

Not sure if you understand what a monopoly is either. Hint: market share.DBTrek wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 8:30 amElizabeth Warren is having a pissing match with FaceBook, and proving she has no idea what a monopoly is in the process:
Bitching on Twitter about FaceBook being the single social media censor....In a statement, a Facebook spokesperson said the ads that featured Facebook's logo were removed "because they violated our policies against use of our corporate logo," but that they were being restored "in the interest of allowing robust debate."
Warren said in a tweet that Facebook's initial removal of her ads showed the platform's outsize power.
"Curious why I think FB has too much power?" she tweeted Monday. "Let's start with their ability to shut down a debate over whether FB has too much power. Thanks for restoring my posts. But I want a social media marketplace that isn't dominated by a single censor. #BreakUpBigTech." ...

Re: Facebook Presence
The DOJ defines it according to market share, which is rather stupid.
The one convenience store in a small town of 500 people would be a "monopoly" under that definition, but in reality all it takes is someone opening a second convenience store to put that situation to an end. Since the first convenience store can't possibly outlaw the establishment of a second, there is no real monopoly going on there.
... unless you're the DOJ and are looking for a handy excuse to try your hand at shadow-running a state-controlled economy.
Real monopolies include the power to forbid competition, and the ability to shut out viable alternatives. If you can't prevent a competitor from arising, or lock customers out of finding alternative products/services to what you're offering, you aren't monopolizing squat.

The discipline of economics breaks it down by market share, genius.
If you ever venture beyond your single Thomas Sowell book, and perhaps purchase an actual economics textbook, you'd figure this out.

No.
Definition: A market structure characterized by a single seller, selling a unique product in the market. In a monopoly market, the seller faces no competition, as he is the sole seller of goods with no close substitute.
Perhaps you need to demand a refund for your minor, rather than lashing out at folks who achieved a better understanding of economics in one book than you managed to wrangle in four years of college.

LOL
A monopoly is defined by domination of the market share. If you are going to argue that they control all of a certain product being sold, then you will never be able to regulate monopolies, since all they need to do is allow some tiny competitor to exist while they exercise monopolistic powers and fuck you over year after year.

Monopoly:
https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/monopolyAn economic advantage held by one or more persons or companies deriving from the exclusive power to carry on a particular business or trade or to manufacture and sell a particular item, thereby suppressing competition and allowing such persons or companies to raise the price of a product or service substantially above the price that would be established by a free market.
In a monopoly, one or more persons or companies totally dominates an economic market. Monopolies may exist in a particular industry if a company controls a major natural resource, produces (even at a reasonable price) all of the output of a product or service because of technological superiority (called a natural monopoly), holds a patent on a product or process of production, or is otherwise granted government permission to be the sole producer of a product or service in a given area.
U.S. law generally views monopolies as harmful because they obstruct the channels of free competition that determine the price and quality of products and services that are offered to the public. The owners of a monopoly have the power, as a group, to set prices, to exclude competitors, and to control the market in the relevant geographic area. U.S. antitrust laws prohibit monopolies and any other practices that unduly restrain competitive trade. These laws are based on the belief that equality of opportunity in the marketplace and the free interactions of competitive forces result in the best allocation of the economic resources of the nation. Moreover, it is assumed that competition enhances material progress in production and technology while preserving democratic, political, and social institutions.

If anyone can overturn a monopoly, then it's not a monopoly.
FB started out with one user. ONE. At the time, My Space was the unquestioned leader of social media.
Where's My Space now? That's right; FB went to the government who forcibly removed My Space from the marketplace to give FB a monopoly.
Or.... OR.... something better came along that was more appealing to the masses.
