@capps By all means stamp your foot down and die on this hill, I think ultimately you're right but it's such an insignificant hill to die on. Perhaps everyone could act like adults and make a minimal effort to keep the threads organized for the rest of the users to enjoy?
It's no wonder we've lost so many posters over the last few years

He's right. Censorship sucks. Literally ruined two Olympic threads already. How many do you think he needs to ruin before he feels manly?pineapplemike wrote:@capps By all means stamp your foot down and die on this hill, I think ultimately you're right but it's such an insignificant hill to die on.

Censorship is bad enough, censoring hockey talk, that's fucking war bro. Kath should have known better.pineapplemike wrote:@capps By all means stamp your foot down and die on this hill, I think ultimately you're right but it's such an insignificant hill to die on. The thread were improved, not ruined. Now all your threads are going to be "ruined", because you threatened censorship as a complete over-reaction, hope your happy.Kath wrote:He's right. To be fair I did ask politely in the OP of the Olympics thread I started after the first thread got filled up with NHL talk. Is that too much to ask for? I love the Olympics as much as you love hockey and good sportsmanship dictates that I don't try to spoil your enjoyment and you try not to spoil mine.Smitty-48 wrote:There's just you, and Kath, you and Kath imposing an arbitrary rule on the rest of us without enforcing it consistently, is the bad form here.Montegriffo wrote:It's just good manners really Smitty. Monopolising the conversation to endlessly talk about the NHL in every single Olympics thread is bad form. I may call you many things but illmannered is not something I would consider you to be. Capps not so much.Smitty-48 wrote: So you're playing favourites for the Olympics, the IOC is getting a special thread protection, which no other topic has ever had in the history of the DCF/MHF. Curious, that.
Just let us have one thread to talk about the games without having to wade through post after post of hockey talk.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Sorry about the Leafs tomorrow night, cousin. Fiala and Arvi will be stepping it up again to cover for Forsberg.Smitty-48 wrote:Cry havok, and let slip the dogs of war, I stand with NHL hockey talk to the bitter end.Kath wrote:There are literally dozens of threads where hockey interrupts the flow of the conversation for me in topics I love.Smitty-48 wrote: You have my respect, but I don't understand why only your favoured topic is protected but no one elses is.
If you guys can't handle a thread about something you hate existing, Capps is right, I won't be able to stop it literally. I can cause chaos, though, and for everyone but you two, it will be hilarious. So, a good time will be had by all.

We would have been good sports, then Kath threatened censorship, and now you will get no reprieve. You have her to thank for that, y'all shouldn't have been so paranoid about every Olympics thread being "ruined", huge backfire on that.Montegriffo wrote:To be fair I did ask politely in the OP of the Olympics thread I started after the first thread got filled up with NHL talk. You don't fuck with NHL hockey talk, NHL hockey talk fucks with you, the North Candianese Army is adaptive, dispersed and resilient and able to NHL hockey talk in the most extreme conditions, asymmetrical NHL hockey talk war is our mothers milk, it must be defended to the last.Kath wrote:Wasn't trying to make a rule, I have no such power, this being Martin's place, but you and Capps literally derailed Olympic conversation in two threads, within two posts. You've made it quite clear you won't allow Olympic conversation to happen without you guys spamming it. /shrugSmitty-48 wrote:I have nothing against rules, so long as they are enforced consistently, one rule for the Olympics, no rules for anything else? Ain't right.
