It's not about tactics in these movies. It's about characters making terrible decisions to put the plot in a position where characters have to make "heroic" sacrifices. It's as stale as year old bread.

Meh. there was no need to make that Admiral Purple Hair Lady (okay I can't remember her name) to butt heads with Poe. I wish there was a scene where she would say, "I am following the orders of General Leia that was given to me right before the bridge was taken out" or something. That was a subplot that went nowhere but I was a bit happy for a while because it looked like that she wasn't a bad guy at all and Poe was really being an ass and not listening, BUT it also looked like the Rebels might've gotten away.

The rebels have a real problem with governing and diplomacy. Everytime the movie camera goes away they get their ass kicked. And if it wasn't for a hologram saving them they would have been wiped out. Besides if it wasn't Poe being Poe then black guy and Asian chick wouldn't have fuck all to do the rest of the movie.

Looks like the Last Jedi is slowing down big time. Guess the word of mouth has a big hand in this. People are hearing that this movie is absolute dog shit. Disney should've thrown Johnson out on his ass when he turned in his script. All he had to do was not tarnish Luke's character but he couldn't get it right. JJ has a shit ton of work to do in episode IX and I doubt he can save it from Johnson's raping of the Luke Skywalker character, oh and the stupid Casino scenes. I'll wait for episode IX to come out on DVD unless my kids beg me to see it in the theater.
