My wife wasn't really enthused about going out in today's bad weather, but after putting a couple mags through a 1911, she's talking about going out and buying one tomorrow.

Now I'm gonna go trigger Monty.

Yup, save the shells, make them yourself. Save yourself money in the long run.

NICE !

Current situation with firearms in America, personal opinion

The number of guns in the US is unknown and the number is debated. Most sources say approx. 300 Million, nearly one per citizen.
During the BHO admin there were at least 125 Million sold based on background check information. Buddies and I have discussed this. We feel like the real number is probably a lot closer to 500 Million firearms in private hands in the US. Since 2000 alone there have been over 200 Million guns sold in the US.

The US easily has the most armed populace in the world, but generally speaking probably the best armed as well. The quality of weapons and options to basic civilian buyers has exploded in the last decade. Gun enthusiasts have almost rendered useless the need for a class III license to own fully automatic firearms in the US by research, invention and technology. Also available to the American public are rifles capable of light anti-armor penetration, rifles with that will destroy body armor, military grade Gen III night vision optics, and computer aiming. It's an amazing time for gun enthusiasts.
