Convicted ball tampering cheat David Warner out for 2 runs on his return to cricket after serving his ban.
Crowd waves sandpaper (the material he used to illegally rough up the ball) as he walks off.

Where's that redneck Aussie who occasionally posts here?

So, the Ashes series was a draw at 2-2. Australia retains the urn as they were the holders coming into this series.
Time to move on...

...Rugby World Cup started on Friday.
England underway with a 35-3 win over Tonga.
Scotland lost 3-27 against Ireland (the two nations of Ireland combine to make a united team in Rugby)
A good win for Wales against Georgia 43-14.

USA and Canada play their opening games on Thursday.
Canada takes on Italy. Italy will be favourites.
USA play England.
England makes 10 changes to the team which beat Tonga, resting players for the last two matches of the group stages against France and Argentina who played each other on Saturday with France winning by 23-21.

Canada's best chance of a win is against Namibia and the USA's best chance is against Tonga. Both matches played on the 13th Oct'.

Good win for Italy against Canada this morning 48-7. Italy now tops their group and a win against Australia or South Africa will see them through to the knockout rounds.
England v USA starts in about 10 minutes.
USA has made good ground in the last few years including a historic win against a first-tier rugby nation last year (Scotland). They've spent the week training with US Marines.
Be interesting to see how far they have come.

Disappointing game from USA. 47-7 with England putting 7 tries past them.
First red card of the tournament for them as well followed by a mass bundle, a bit of ''handbags'' as it's known in the game.
I didn't see anything to make me think they can beat Tonga.
Shame, I was hoping for more. Only Canada has lost by a greater margin in this morning's 48-7 defeat to Italy.

USA and Canada both played today.

Better from USA against France. Stayed with them until the 3rd quarter. Then slipped from 9-12 to 9-33 by the final whistle.

Canada had the misfortune to play the All Blacks.
Finished Can 0-NZ 63. Biggest losing margin so far.

England v Argentina in about an hour.
A win guarantees a place in the quarter finals.
First game against a 1st tier nation so will give a better idea of how well we're really playing.
