They make a long barrell version too. I think a 6 inch barrell. I know the short barrell version has a man sized pattern at 35mFife wrote:DBTrek wrote:Yeah, I’ve given the Judge some consideration. Wonder what the recoil is like tho.
The .410 recoil is not much. I'm leery of a snub-nosed .410 being of much use for self-defense. Makes for a decent snake gun out in the woods or on the lake, though.

I'd say .410-00 packs plenty of punch, but I don't buy that it gives you a better chance of dropping a man at CQ than .38 spec/.357 mag
At that range, if you're gonna miss, you're gonna miss either way, if you're gonna hit, you're gonna hit either way, and if you're gonna wing em, better to wing em with the full measure rather than just a pellet.

The Hickock video shows a lot of scatter too.

If winging them buys you time for a second shot then it’s better than a miss.

The principle utility of the Judge would be that it allows you to have multiple types of loads, so you could have a less lethal opener, followed by buck, then slug, same as the full sized pump.

Decent spread at 15’, depending on ammo.

From one side of the room to the other? I'm not gonna miss from there.DBTrek wrote:If winging them buys you time for a second shot then it’s better than a miss.
