Interesting point: consider how easy it was to take down Cain with this tactic. This time it's fucking imploding fast.
There's a reason no other Clinton "suicides" have happened with a nail gun - the second time just wouldn't have anywhere near the believability of the first.

The woman at the center of the story, Deborah Ramirez, who is fifty-three, attended Yale with Kavanaugh, where she studied sociology and psychology. Later, she spent years working for an organization that supports victims of domestic violence. The New Yorker contacted Ramirez after learning of her possible involvement in an incident involving Kavanaugh. The allegation was conveyed to Democratic senators by a civil-rights lawyer. For Ramirez, the sudden attention has been unwelcome, and prompted difficult choices. She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident. In her initial conversations with The New Yorker, she was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty. After six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney, Ramirez said that she felt confident enough of her recollections to say that she remembers Kavanaugh had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away. Ramirez is now calling for the F.B.I. to investigate Kavanaugh’s role in the incident. “I would think an F.B.I. investigation would be warranted,” she said.

Another accuser with a fuzzy memory who spent 6 days with her attorney's counsel to say that she, in a drunken stupor, remembers being tea bagged by Kavanaugh 35 years later. And now wants the FBI to investigate. Since when did run of the mill indecent exposure become the purview of the FBI?

If 1 rape accusation is not enough, try 2, 3, 4. The Republicans caused this because of their ulterior motive to get an anti-abortion appointee. They should have nixed it out of the gate but instead they let it matasticise.

This is the New Normal.

I see no evidence that false claims won’t continue to work, and you’re betting Dems don’t get the senate. I guess “bird in the hand” is a J-only trait.

It is working because the story is becoming about the tactic itself and not the baseless accusations.

I think the fatal flaw in this brand of identity politics is that women in general lack sympathy compared to men. They do not tend to just lack sympathy for us men, but also for other women.

This fight was not for the minds of women, and it never was. It is about exploiting men's sympathy and compassion for women. But because the democrats went full throttle with the bigotry against men, men are not falling for it any longer. I do not believe women as a whole ever fell for this bullshit.

???

Again, I say, your selfish, one-issue interest has the distinct possibility of blowing the whole new appointment thing up. You don’t think the Dems will block a new appointment for years if they get the senate?! Jesus, man, talk about not taking the win.

I read that if Kavanaugh is not confirmed by Friday, his nomination fails. She doesn’t testify until Thursday. There’s a lot of things that can be done to eat up another day: riots, demonstrations, suicides, no quorum, etc. for 1 day.
Suicides= one less idiot on government dole.

Now Michael Avenatti is getting involved in this?

My fucking God they will never stop, they will never not stoop so low. No evidence, little to no corroboration. This is debilitating. How it plays in the midterms? No idea. I dont think it really helps dems in the Senate. Do people in Montana and W. VA. really care about metoo, especially enough to engender sympathy for Mancin and Tester?

2nd accuser... "I wasn't going to touch a penis until I was married".

Oh PUHLEEZ. Yeah, and you were going to frat parties playing drinking games.
Sorry, been to college and frat parties, that never happened - that's like looking for dry people in the swimming pool... At least not unless she was 300lbs and fugly.

Oh yeah, and she was "raised Catholic in CT" - yeah, and I graduated from a Catholic high school in CT and I'm pretty sure only a tiny percentage of female students were still virgins by graduation.
