Bottom line, she lived in fear and grief all the time, it was like in the Cold War when we were afraid of the Balloon going up, except for her, it actually happened, her town was reduced to rubble, her lovers were killed, most of her friends were killed, and then in the post apocalyptic aftermath, a mob of angry drunken hooligans showed up to rape her.
