However, I question his moral dedication to individualism. Trying to 'save civilization' is the impulse of a collectivist. Trying to root your ethics in objective, materialism (like Peterson does) is straight from the Marx playbook.

He is a false enemy of Marxism, who has slunk into that position by attacking the low hanging fruit of 'Cultural Marxism,' which is a near meaningless term, and by distracting the gullible with attacks on 'postmodernism,' which is used simply as a pejorative for progressive. Plenty to attack about progressives without misusing words that have useful, technical meanings.

What JP did in that interview was a verbal equivalent of Ghandi level non violence. Cathy Newman came at him with every deceitful weapon in her arsenal and he just calmly took it, corrected her lies, and kept telling the truth. Anyone could see who the aggressor was. That is why it is attracting so much attention. Normally we see both sides playing the same game but this was something new. The amount of coverage this interview is getting is mindblowing. It's being picked apart more than a presidential election debate.
