I think what's getting lost is that the Democratic Party is not Liberal, and the Republican Party is not Conservative. They say they are, but really the stated ideologies are merely camouflage for the con game with us as the suckers. The sad part is that the are still politicians, activists, Americans who are honest and truly want to enact liberal or conservative policies but they become enmeshed in the con game.

The people who run the con are clearly more afraid of Repubs otherwise they would not have allowed them to lose the culture war by this much.

Which culture war?

The Democratic Party has their nice island chain of brainwashed suckers where one kind of "culture" has root, and the Republican Party has their nice warm sea of brainwashed suckers where another kind of "culture" is floating about.

One can make a good argument on who is winning, but much of this is the result of the Parties carving out areas of control, and the wealthy elites dumbing down the media for profit.

One has more access to mass media than the other and can force topics on the other. One is also more entrenched in the entertainment industry.I am not sure the elites dumb down the media for profit. They hate change even if it would make a lot of money for the press.

It's very labor intensive to do good journalism. Let's say you got a good tip on corruption in city hall. It might take days, weeks, months, of research, interviews, requests, foia requests might take months maybe more. One or more reporters, assistants, editor, camera man, etc. And you can piss off powerful people.

All that effort would only be put into a very big story, still it was normal for a newspaper to have a reporter do nothing but the city government and going to every single council meeting.

Today it's Fox, CNN, and MSNBC which are reality tv than news.

As for cramming, FOX, NRO, Rush Limbaugh, Breibart??? There is a difference between unbalanced and cramming.
