Be careful, Smits. I bet Ontario has some pretty harsh animal cruelty ordinances regarding your training methods.

What kind of pussy grass can't handle urine? Get some St. Augustine for your anemic yard!

Eat shit and die, you fuckin' pogue.heydaralon wrote:You can't be serious. Dog piss will not mess up a lawn. I have been doing close at least 12 hours of yardwork a week for my parents and I piss in the lawn all the time. For a guy, pissing outside beats pissing into the finest gold plated toilet any day of the week, so don't deny your dog that freedom. Grass is pretty resilient. It can die from heat and turn brown, but once you get it green, as long you keep it watered and don't pour motor oil on it, it will be fine. I'm a bit disappointed that your effete yard sensibilities are clouding your judgment.
The dogs pee all winter, and they congregate, peeing on top of the same spots for months, so come the spring there are some patches, they grow back in, I just put some patch grow down to speed up the process.

Well I can't stop dogs from congregating to pee on the same spots, that's what dogs do, but I have an alpha dog, the lead Labrador Retriever, he'll do whatever you want, you want him to pee here, he'll pee here, you want him to pee there, he'll pee there, and wherever he pees, everybody else will pee, so I just get him to pee off to the side instead of right down the middle.Fife wrote:Be careful, Smits. You could always try a rock lawn. They have a rugged beauty about them.Smitty-48 wrote:Eat shit and die, you fuckin' pogue.heydaralon wrote:You can't be serious. Dog piss will not mess up a lawn. My personal favorite is the rubber mulch though. People can hardly tell the difference between that and the real thing. I would recommend a natural color like red.

My backyard is so vast, a big lawn is the only way to go, it's early in the season, in a couple weeks, the lawn will be fully grown in and turfed up, thick and rooted, and then I'll cut it back, Marine Corps fashion.
I don't actually have a lawn at the front of the house, it's a landscaped garden in the front, with a maple in the middle as a center piece, then it's lawn, gardens and more trees in the back, the upper backyard is lawn and gardens, then it dops off into a lower yard which is filled with trees, a big pine tree in the center, then red and green maples mixed with birch down the hill.
