How did I miss the resurrection of Ted Kaczynski as visionary? This is the 2nd time I've heard him referenced recently, interestingly the other was by a commie apologist, Dmitri Orlov. Reminds me of people who admired Manson a couple decades ago.Hastur wrote:Industrial Society and Its Future Theodore Kaczynski 1995 wrote:OVERSOCIALIZATION

We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

Nah, it's big league. It only sounds like bigly.Kath wrote:Bigly, not big-league.
You are inflating the importance of political rhetoric just because you don't like this particular brand of it.Kath wrote:Anyway, we can't take him seriously. We can't take him literally. How should we take him? How should other world leaders react to his boisterous claims of bigliness? You don't think it makes us look foolish when we tell China they are manipulating currency until they actually show up and suddenly, they no longer are doing manipulating?
How many blunders, mis-speaks, outright lies, half-wit noises does this man have to make before it has meaning?
Bill Clinton pulled the same shit regarding labeling China a currency manipulator before doing a complete 180. The world didn't end.
Actions speak louder than words, stop getting distracted by words that are meant to distract you. That's how you are suppose to take Trump and any other politician, you aren't suppose to take his every word as hard policy positions anymore than you do any other politician, you should judge politicians by their actions, not their rhetoric.

Welp, I guess we can pull the plug on this whole "Rule by the People" experiment. That was a good time, for a bit.StCapps wrote: That's how you are suppose to take Trump and any other politician, you aren't suppose to take his every word as hard policy position anymore than you do any other politician, you should judge politicians by their actions, not their rhetoric.

Trump is only America First if it doesn't conflict with his own interests. Anyone who thought otherwise was engaging in very naive wishful thinking. I have said so all along.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Welp, I guess we can pull the plug on this whole "Rule by the People" experiment. Nobody likes flamboyance in their leaders. (Boy, do I speak from a position of authority on that one.)GrumpyCatFace wrote:i'd feel a lot safer with a politician in there right now.

Just because he wasn't a politician before he ran doesn't mean he wasn't going to become one when he won the election. You should have known better, he was obviously playing that angle up to get elected because people wanted change, just because he was more trustworthy than Hillary Clinton to deliver on that doesn't mean he was actually trustworthy.Martin Hash wrote:I voted for an Outsider, I got a politician, my bad.
