Ok, chuckles. I guess everything's fine here, and those 50 people died because they weren't allowed to fling bullets in every direction. Totally not a problem with the pussy-ass police force sacrificing them for 'officer safety', or MGM not even calling them for 6 minutes, because fuck it FREEDUMB RULEZ!clubgop wrote:Oh is that precious GCF has been watching too many marvel movies. The police failed to risk their pretty faces to stop mass murder, therefore some bullshit about gun laws, and I support that? You're flailing.clubgop wrote:

Unlike you that thinks government is the end all be all and absolves one of all personal responsibility. And you do NOT want to see a poker room with open-carry rules.

LOL, sure thing, sport.
The rest of us don't share your peasant mentality. Sorry. Consider moving to England.
At least the Police here turn up promptly and kill the attacker within minutes. 6 mins from first 999 call to attackers dead in London bridge attack. Of course it's a lot easier when the police know the assailants only have knives.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

If a firearm or explosive was detected, they'd most likely just hide until it was over, then 'secure the area'.

I agree it sucks what happened, though. Yeah, there's a good chance you are going to catch a bullet, but there's also a 100% chance that doing nothing would cost dozens of lives below. Meanwhile, you have an army of police including a SWAT team that will descend on the place later. The calculus was pretty straightforward. They just didn't want to risk their own lives.
Contrast that with people repeatedly exposing themselves to gunfire on the field to get the injured to safety.
It looks pretty bad on the police no matter how you want to dress it up.

Sounds about right. England ban assault trucks yet? Pretty slow on that response. And hey France right gun laws, Charlie was a knife attack same with the concert attack right? You bitches are scared little dumplings afraid to take responsibility for yourself and your family and want to disarm people and rob people of thier right to self defense because it will make you feel better.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Funny how that works, isn't it.Montegriffo wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:

You want government to do everything and save your Lilly white ass and when that doesn't happen you retreat with excuses like above. You don't want personal responsibility, you want a hero.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Fuck are you even talking about? I want the police force reprimanded or shamed for failing to do their duty. If you want to turn America back into the Wild West, that's a different thread, idiot.clubgop wrote:You want government to do everything and save your Lilly white ass and when that doesn't happen you retreat with excuses like above. Re: BREAKING: Las Vegas Active Shooter
That's a problem I have with US Law enforcement and it all centers around this idea that LEO lives are more important than everyone elses. If there is any perceived threat to the LEO, they pretty much have the green light to shoot to kill. If there is an active shooter they will hold up and make a plan to secure LEO lives before they go in. I'm not too sure about what happened in Vegas yet, but the Pulse Night Club is a perfect example. We've given them all the gear to do CQB room clearing, but the LEOs aren't really doing it as far as I can see.Montegriffo wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:Yes, I'm sure that shooting a crowd of armed civilians would result in an organized response to the threat, and not a massacre of stupidity.Speaker to Animals wrote:
