Unless you have some insider information, there's no such thing as "expertise", but if I sold my LMT right now, it would be at a 370% profit, plus the dividends paid, you're calling that a bad buy?
No, inthe post I was responding to, you appeared to be comparing the buying power of the 2 companies based on their stock price, regardless of actual market cap.
It's still a little ridiculous to consider a company purchasing another one 4x its size, but do carry on. I'm enjoying this.
I bet myspace said the same thing.
Not a good example, but I get your meaning.
IBM has been a fossil since the 80s, yet they keep chugging along with fingers in many, many pies. They're part of the tech "backbone", far more than the consumer side that most are familiar with. They're more similar to a GE or AT&T than a Lenovo.
Lockheed is a big player in the MIC, and not going anywhere either. They've about reached maximum sales in weapons systems - the fighter boondoggles are starting to generate massive backlash, and the military is running out of new trillions to blow on bullshit projects. They're not getting much bigger.
We have an investment thread, if you guys are serious, but feel free to shoot the shit as you please. I'm actually trying to figure out how to buy physical bulk gold, at the moment.
