It's also a big lie that this has major effects on Canadian jobs, this dispute has been going on for forty years, the Canadian producers diversified to Asia a long time ago, and the process now is highly automated, the effect on Canadian jobs is miniscule, the lumber industry just has the BC government in their pockets, it's just for straight up profit, none of it goes to the workers, they already downsized and imposed efficiencies a long time ago, they run the show on a bare minimum staff as it is, the Asian market alone, requires the workforce they have now, and again, even with tariffs, it won't stop the Americans from buying Canadian softwood, because there isn't enough softwood to fill the demand in the US, 30% has to come from Canada, the only difference is, now Americans will have to pay more, which, let them, who cares?

It's not a great deal for you either. Our milk is shit and there should be no reason to force the world to buy it. Unless of course you really want shit milk on the cheap. It do make your nine year olds girls develop if you're into that, and you're a Canadian dog fucker so I'm assuming you are.

I can afford the milk, I don't really care, none of this effects me, it's only poor people with kids who notice, and I don't give a rats ass about poor people with kids, they're a pestilence as far as I'm concerned.
The socialists just use them as a rubric to steal money from me for the purposes of corporate welfare, so you could go ahead and gas the poor people and their kids, wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Yeah well Canada doesn't actually have poor people so fuck off and drink your bag of milk. Meanwhile we have to pump these "Americans" with shit milk somehow. If we don't we will have hell to pay from the Hispanic community. Enjoy your milk.

That's actually true, they're not even poor by American standards, by American standards, they're lower middle class, all the more reason not to give a rats ass about them and their filthy little brats, when the socialists start whining about the "poor little poor fellas, aw poor little fellas"; kill ur selves.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Ah well if that's the case, then Trump is just pretending to get tough on Canada, so folks won't catch on that he is secretly the President of Canada and to strengthen that America First branding. All while setting the stage for new NAFTA to include softwood lumber and thus the tariffs will actually be lowered in the long term. Diabolical, that's some 4D chess right thur.Smitty-48 wrote:It's also a big lie that this has major effects on Canadian jobs, this dispute has been going on for forty years, the Canadian producers diversified to Asia a long time ago, and the process now is highly automated, the effect on Canadian jobs is miniscule, the lumber industry just has the BC government in their pockets, it's just for straight up profit, none of it goes to the workers, they already downsized and imposed efficiencies a long time ago, they run the show on a bare minimum staff as it is, the Asian market alone, requires the workforce they have now, and again, even with tariffs, it won't stop the Americans from buying Canadian softwood, because there isn't enough softwood to fill the demand in the US, 30% has to come from Canada, the only difference is, now Americans will have to pay more, which, let them, who cares?

Exactly, Trump is running out of things to claim as a victory, so he just keeps trying to drum up a phony war which he can "win", when really, the only people he is attacking are Americans who are trying to afford to buy homes as he drives the prices for them up, when your average Canadian, particularly here in Upper Canada, is not going to notice a thing.
Might effect a tiny number of seasonal workers in British Columbia, but like I say, fuck British Columbia, they hate us Upper Canadians, they're not our friends, I mean, hell, we don't even have free trade with British Columbia.
Vancouver Canucks fans; kill ur selves.

Once softwood lumber is included in the new NAFTA, they'll probably be paying less though. So in the end, I doubt Americans will notice very much either.Smitty-48 wrote:Exactly, Trump is running out of things to claim as a victory, so he just keeps trying to drum up a phony war which he can "win", when really, the only people he is attacking are Americans who are trying to afford to buy homes as he drives the prices for them up, when your average Canadian, particularly here in Upper Canada, is not going notice.

My face when I thought Trump was speaking to me on the campaign trail....
At least I don't have to listen to that shrill bitch though. I'm hardly joking when I say I considered suicide in such a timeline

Yeah, the American mills would be crazy to open NAFTA up on the Canadian side, just going to let the softwood trojan horse in, and on the dairy, the thing is, the farmers in Wisconsin don't attack Canadian Supply Management, what they say is; "we want that too", so if they open that up to NAFTA, that's not a win for the Wisconsin dairy industry.
