at this juncture, this is actually seeming kind of pre Soviet
you know who this is starting to look like ?
Czar Nicholas II
launching into an ill thought war against the Japanese
sailing his vaunted Baltic Fleet all the way around the world
just to have it get sunk in one day, by the Japanese Navy
that was in fact the beginning of the end for the Romanovs

Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
Deposed sounds better than “incinerated along with everything you love”, but that’s just me.

see, I would bring the submarines to bear, force NATO to stare into the abyss
before I let it come to that, if I was him

Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
that being said
I can see a problem even beyond Putin now
because if he is defeated ?
that is just going to embolden the NATO Globalists
they will switch over to the offensive then
to drive the Russians out of the Donbass
to take Crimea back from the Russians
and turn Ukraine into a heavily armed proxy
which at that point
I would not assume that the replacement for Putin is actually a softer touch
Putin could be replaced by an actual government with actual resolve
then we are doing this all over again at some point, in the opposite direction
NATO pushing Russia up against a wall is the trajectory upon this last gasp being thrown back
and that is not actually a safe option neither
that is the brink of thermonuclear war as well
there is no safe way of bringing this massive Soviet legacy arsenal down by force

Well there’s always internal collapse. The ruble is collapsing under a bank run as we speak.

Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
I can actually see this reversing in the other direction now
this is the last gasp of the Soviet Kleptocrats
right now, it's the plucky Ukrainian underdogs against the Soviet Bear
but project the Ukrainians forward into a future, to a NATO backed advantaged position over the Russians
Azov fascists armed to the teeth in an alliance with the equally fascist already Poles
and the Kleptocrats have been deposed in Moscow by an ideological government ?
that ideological government in Moscow is going to end up backs against the wall then
and without any conventional advantage, totally reliant on their nuclear weapons
like I say, either the Russians win, or the Ukrainians & Poles are coming for them
there is no way to put Humpty Dumpty back together again now

Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
since this is reaching the threshold of NATO blockading the Russians in the Black Sea
exploring the overthrow of Putin at some point
this is getting so hot
that it is not likely to be Navalny who replaces Putin
but rather a Junta which is prepared to do what Putin didn't have the courage to do

Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
this is starting to feel a little 1991 now
but bear in mind what that was
Gorbachev dropped the ball
then a Junta tried to stage a coup de'tat against him
