Russian Orthodox priest says abortions ‘scarier than the Holocaust’

A senior cleric has compared the amount of abortions in Russia to the losses suffered during WWII as the Russian Orthodox Church continues to push for an abortion ban.

That's what Dimitry Smirnov, head of the Patriarchy Commission for Family, stated at a forum on reproductive health.
He said high abortion rates were a “mass murder of Russian children” and “worse than the Holocaust.”
The cleric also called for public opinion on abortions to change, saying that a tolerant attitude to the issue will lead the Russian nation to “suicide.”

My family was originally Eastern Orthodox, while a little different than Russian Orthodox it's clear the Roman Catholic Leadership is corrupt as fuck, and infected with pedophilia. If I had a local orthodox catholic church around I'd check it out. They seem to be picking up the torch set down by JPII.

Vatican police raid top offices in financial investigation
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Vatican police raided the offices of the Holy See’s Secretariat of State and its Financial Information Authority, or AIF, on Tuesday and took away documents and electronic devices as part of an investigation of suspected financial irregularities, a Vatican statement said.

It was believed to be the first time the two departments were searched for evidence involving alleged financial crimes.

I've actually been thinking of Washington DC lately in terms of the Catholic pedo scandal.

Both huge global organizations. Where corruption and looking the other way have become order of the day. The more they profess their innocence and morality, the more the people question what they are really doing.
