Well, slowly but surely, ab resistant staff and strep are getting more resistant all the time, the more it is exposed to ab, the tougher the bacteria become against ab, when it becomes fully resistant to ab, then it's a super strain, you have no weapon against it, it's everpresent everywhere, it incubates and mass reproduces with ease, and so spreads like wildfire unabated. The Conservative wrote:You don't need a super-strain really, you just need a quick way to distribute it. Read your first sentence again, slowly.StCapps wrote:Just because the word virus sounds more virulent than bacteria to the layman, that doesn't mean that is actually the case.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I’m still not convinced that any bacteria could be that virulent, or contagious. It’s all about viruses.

Don't know who told you it's all about the viruses, but you've been mislead.

True, but there are people that have to have a natural resistance to it yes?Smitty-48 wrote:Well, slowly but surely, ab resistant staff and strep are getting more resistant all the time, the more it is exposed to ab, the tougher the bacteria become against ab, when it becomes fully resistant to ab, then it's a super strain, you have no weapon against it, it's everpresent everywhere, it incubates and mass reproduces with ease, and so spreads like wildfire unabated. The Conservative wrote:You don't need a super-strain really, you just need a quick way to distribute it. Yeah the dangerous super bugs are bacteria, not viruses, I don't know who told Grumpy otherwise, but whoever it was, they don't know what they are talking about. He thinks viruses are worse because they share the first four letters with the word virulent, he's that uninformed.Smitty-48 wrote:Well, slowly but surely, ab resistant staff and strep are getting more resistant all the time, the more it is exposed to ab, the tougher the bacteria become against ab, when it becomes fully resistant to ab, then it's a super strain, you have no weapon against it, it's everpresent everywhere, it incubates and mass reproduces with ease, and so spreads like wildfire unabated. The Conservative wrote:You don't need a super-strain really, you just need a quick way to distribute it. Re: The Plague Ward
SARS? They had that contained in a matter of days. MRSA? Running amok, the more they fight it, the stronger it gets, and the weaker the ab becomes as a countermeasure.
It's all about vectors, a virus like SARS requires human to human contact to spread, bacteria like MRSA is everywhere, doesn't need human to human contact to spread, it operates in the enviroment without needing a carrier.

Re: The Plague Ward
SARS sounds like a scarier acronym to the layman though, and the media shined the spotlight on the SARS outbreak than they have on MRSA, so naturally the uninformed GrumpyCatFace thinks viruses in general are scarier than bacteria, because he knows nothing about microbiology, heard some scary news reports about viruses and thinks one word sounds scarier than other, so it must actually be scarier.Smitty-48 wrote:SARS? The problem would be contagion. Unless you get an infected water supply, with a water-stable bacterium, you’re simply not going to spread it widely. Bacteria can’t really go airborne, to my knowledge, and they can’t usually break the skin barrier.

Anything that says "Moxicillin Resistant" is the scariest motherfucker of them all.StCapps wrote:SARS sounds like a scarier acronym to the layman though, and the media shined the spotlight on it as a result, so naturally the uninformed GrumpyCatFace thinks viruses in general are scarier than bacteria, because he knows nothing about microbiology and thinks one word sounds scarier, so it must actually be scarier.Smitty-48 wrote:SARS? To the informed, but that sure isn't GrumpyCatFace when it comes to microbiology.Smitty-48 wrote:Anything that says "Moxicillin Resistant" is the scariest motherfucker of them all.
