YOU are the ones toeing the line for Lockmart here.
You got caught carrying water for the MIC, with the "ZOMG! 90% Lethality" canard. There is no technological there there, there are no EMPs that can do that, you're just a chicken little faggot crying that the sky is falling, what else is new?

Dude, are you really this retarded??

The MIC is the one attacking the EMP threat. This entire discussion is a threat to their budget. This isn't a MIC scare. It's literally a handful of scientists raising the alarm. It not only has nothing to do with the MIC, it's a direct challenge to the MIC's effectiveness. They definitely do NOT want Americans thinking about this stuff. They want to maintain the illusion that we spend all this money to keep Americans safe by projecting power overseas. But if all their maneuvering has created a little pigmy nation that can send the United States back to the pre-industrial stage, and there's fuck all any of those MIC techno gadgets can do about, then WHY THE FUCK should we spend so much money on MIC when we really should focus on hardening our infrastructure and rebuilding our civil defense program!?

You people are incredibly fucking retarded about this. We used to have a civil defense program. The MIC killed that fucking thing. There is no money in that sort of thing for them.

Furthermore, most of what they are selling the American people is a farce. EMP weapons make most of this technological advantage moot. For that matter, just plain old cyberwarfare creates so many vulnerabilities, that most of this shit is a liability. Then just last month the Chinese leaked that they have some kind of quantum radar system that makes stealth technology worthless. The entire MIC nonsense is an illusion and you are the one defending it by helping them to squash discussion about all the vulnerabilities in their products.

You fucking moron.

We don't need more aircraft carriers, missile cruisers, stealth bombers, McMasters, or yet another uniform design. We need basic shit that any old redneck can do if given the money. We need to shield power lines and plants. We need to harden communications systems.

What we need is the opposite of the MIC. The money has to go out into the rest of the industrial sectors to harden our infrastructure. We need to build shelters and fund civil defense programs in every single town and city.

The MIC is not going to support any of that. They will try to downplay and sabotage this shit (and they have done it) as much as possible. You are spreading their bullshit right now.

EMP hardening wouldn't even come out of the defense budget, it's not the military which is resisting this, it doesn't come off their budget, it's the power companies, the power companies don't want to pay for EMP hardening, they are the el cheapos, not Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin is not opposed to it, and if congress legislated, against the will of the power companies who are lobbying them not to, Parker-Hannifin would be perfectly happy to take the contract, it has nothing to do with the defense contractors trying to prevent it, that's silly nonsense, it's no threat to the defense industry interests.

It wouldn't even come out of the federal budget at all, congress would mandate it, the power companies would have to pay for it, then they would pass the costs through to their customers on your power bills, you would pay for it on your hydro bill, not on your tax return.

It's pretty simple, congress knows that the costs of EMP hardening would be passed through to the consumer, and the comsumers would not be happy about their power bills going up because of some mandate from congress, the power company lobby is simply reminding congress how this would go, and congress doesn't want to take the poltical heat for it.

The bills would spike, people would call the power companies to complain, the power companies would say "it's not us, it's the EMP hardening mandate from congress", then people would go after their congressmen, and if the congressmen said "but, but 90% lethality" people would say "what are you, some kind of fuckin' idiot? You're fired!", and the congressmen know it.

Why is there no EMP hardening mandate? The costs would show up on the monthly utility bills, and so Americans don't want to pay for it, simple as that.

It's not Lockheed Martin, has nothing to do with them, it's the power company lobbies, NERC and FERC, and it's not a conspiracy, they're just telling congress what the political downside would be, of them having to pass the costs through to the consumer, and congress is agreeing with them.

As far as other private industries go, like financials, IT, and big data, they are tapping the defense contractors for EMP hardening, as all part of the now booming private sector cyberdefense market. To wit, maybe the power would go off, maybe your iPhone would go blank, but the banks will still know how much you owe on your credit cards, even after the EMP.

In terms of Lockmart, they bought Leidos, an IT company, and they are making that into their flagship cyberdefense unit, and there's absolutely no reason why they wouldn't say "now with EMP hardening from Parker Chromerics", that's how the game is played.

The defense contractors are all over this stuff, the private sector is their growth market, and the milspec IT for the private sector, is coming with all the bells and whistles now, from NSA grade encryption, to STANAG EMP hardening, this is the next frontier for the MIC, and the more the hysterical fear mongers fap about it, the better it is for their business.

Great little rant from ZeroHedge this morning, on the MIC. Just voices in the wind, sadly...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-10-1 ... ian-threat
So how in the world did the national security apparatus convince the Donald that we need the $700 billion defense program for FY 2018----12X bigger than Russia's---- that he just signed into law?

What we mean, of course, is how do you explain that---- beyond the fact that the Donald knows virtually nothing about national security policy and history; and, to boot, is surrounded by generals who have spent a lifetime scouring the earth for enemies and threats to repel and reasons for more weapons and bigger forces.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.
