1. reduce ladder fuels
a. promote natural herbivores and browsers such as deer and elk.
2. Thin the forest, this doesn't mean clear cut, this means one healthy tree every 20 - 30 feet.
a. use harvest money for habitat and healthy forest restoration
3. Build in fires breaks in the urban interface to give firefighters a fighting chance to knock down fires before they take human lives
