The DOD military uniform hog trough still very active. The Navy recently went away from the stupid blue on blue digital duty uniform, now the Army is going through it's next uniform change. Just a decade ago they decided on doing away with the 'old' greens and just a revamped dress blues for all. Now, they are going back to 'pinks and greens', better known as the WWII dress uniform.



It's a classy and classic look, and when the modern dress blues for all was being considered, I said they needed to get rid of the greens and go back to pinks and greens. While I love the choice, this uniform swapping is getting ridiculous. It's costly in a lot of ways. Ever since Shinseki decided everyone needed a beret it seems troops have been changing uniforms more than their drawers.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with either chocolate chips or DCUs, but they had to give us the lame digitals that sucked in the field, then when enough time had passed they effectively admitted their mistake and went to multicam, which is a good uniform.
