Nobody making less than a NYC lawyer could save 75% of income. The majority of plebs pay 50% to rent.

If a mode of thought isn't serving you, shoudl you cling to it?
Is there a better way to think?
How is this any different from any other cause that we are concerned about?
Your argument is for blind fealty to whatever-the-system-happens-to-be.
for the last goddamn time I live in upstate new york.
now to the merits
you can view everything through oppressor -- oppresssed axis, it is a perfectly valid way to view everything, except that it is only one way, and it is only half the picture.
There are a lot of other ways to view the substantial challenges of the world -- better to choose one that serves you, instead of makes you into a resentful victim, I speak from the heart, because for many years I viewed the world oppressor -- oppressed (and oh how appealing, to know this one trick, and then understand everything, with a monocausal axis everyone can be a philosopher in a day), and when I changed my mind set, the world began to come to me.
