You slapped me in the jaw by agreeing with one part of my argument? I don't support the totally free-market health care system any more than I support socialized medicine (i.e. government-run hospitals). You are not behaving rationally.
Just ignoring what I argue and pretending like I didn't post an argument doesn't give you a "win". It just makes you look moronic.
This particular behavior is annoying. There are a small group of people in the forum who do it constantly, apparently because they really cannot argue a point to save their lives. But why should we waste our time with you when you don't have actual arguments to offer a discussion forum?

You just keep repeating that the British killed a baby, regardless of anything presented to you. I thought you might be interested in discussing your Socialized Medicine boogyman, but you're content to just keep fishing for someone to agree with you. Carry on, good sir.

They did, genius. They stole this baby from the parents, would not even let them choose the circumstances of his death, and refused to allow them to take their own baby to a better health care provider (on their own dime) to get treatment they were unable to provide themselves.
They killed the baby.

See, this is where a normal human being may have read the part weeks ago, where it became known that the American doc examined the kid, said he couldn't do anything, so the parents dropped their suit, and everything is resolved now. Such a person may even decide to come up with a different line of attack than "THE STATE KILLS BABIES", but not our guy.Speaker to Animals wrote:They did, genius. You're an army of one, dude.

That's your argument? Some doctor said, in his opinion, there's nothing that can be done, and you conclude that means ALL doctors think the same thing, even though the doctors offering the treatment felt there was some chance of success?? And if you are talking about the doctors from the hospital in New York, they only said that when the British government dragged the legal battle out so long, that in their opinion, the boy was NO LONGER likely to receive any benefit from the treatment. They withdrew their offer when the boy had deteriorated beyond hope -- because the British government would not let these people take him to a better hospital.
That's not debating. That's just stupid.

The doctor that came up with the experimental treatment that you wanted the kid to get, and therefore DETERMINING THE FATE OF SOCIALIZED MEDICINE AND THE FALL OF THE WEST TO COMMUNIZUM yeah...Speaker to Animals wrote:That's your argument? Also, the kid was a vegetable since 1 year old, so... right. he deteriorated in a couple months.

Yeah, genius, he said that after it was too late to do anything. Wow, you are ignorant. When the doctors at the hospital offering the treatment saw how far he had progressed, they withdrew the offer. The British government had did their job and ensured this baby would die.
That's murder in my eyes. If your baby is dying, and there is some chance you can save him in a different hospital, and you have all the funds you need to get that treatment, people trying to block you from going to that other hospital are committing the moral evil of murder. This baby did not belong to them.

In that hypothetical scenario, you would be correct. Sadly, it doesn't apply here.Speaker to Animals wrote:Yeah, genius, he said that after it was too late to do anything. Wow, you are ignorant. There was never a treatment that would have changed anything. There still isn't. Maybe in a few years, maybe next week, but right now there is not.
