Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Friday said the terror threat is worse than most realize, saying some people would “never leave the house” if they knew the truth.

“I was telling [Fox host] on the way in here, if he knew what I knew about terrorism, he’d never leave the house in the morning,” Kelly said on “Fox & Friends.”

He noted there were four major terror attacks in the last week — in England, Egypt, the Philippines and Indonesia — “by generally the same groups.”

The only embracing I see from your leftist, is more of the "White Man's Burden" view of Muslims (the "brown people" thing). Pampered, progressive upper class kids who are absurdly clueless about the world around them, who treat any non-white person as someone to be "defended", protected, and their differences celebrated.... yet never bothering to actually learn those differences for themselves. StA uses the term alot, but on this issue, it's the perfect description for their behavior: Virtue signalling.

They idealize Muslims, but they don't do so to place them up alongside them as equals. It's the same way they idealize "the Scandinavian Socialist Utopias", just added a whiff of the same sort of romanticism of "The Foreign" aimed at the (mythically) in-harmony-with-nature Native Americans, and other naive idealizations.

They are instruments to them. Instrument meant to impress their own kind. They are to certain segments of the upper classes what wearing an expensive fur used to be when you went out for a night at the opera. Those idiot women doing a "solidarity prayer" towards Muslims, are not going to adopt Islam. They are your modern aristocrats, simply eager to show their social superiority by showing how tolerant and "diversity"-friendly they are.
