It's a war, ooky, and you guys started it. Remember over the past eight years when people kept telling you guys that all this tyrannical shit was going to come back against you when the other side comes to power? None of you gave a shit then. Now it's come back to haunt you. You guys made it quite clear that this is a war, and I hope my side wins it.

I hate that mindset, just fucking hate it. America is a big place, at some point, if we don't start having actual compromise we will lose our view from the top.

It's happening on the state level to some extent. Ooky's lived experience is happening with moderates here, and it's having an effect. Our congressman, who's enjoyed bi-partisan and independent support for years, had his ass handed to him by his constituents for pandering to the far right and for supporting Trump on far-right issues. Some of those constituents voted for Trump because they wanted change, but not insanity change. Our congressman is moving back towards moderate conservative. When people who've voted for you for years get pissed off, it's time to move in their direction.
