Mealy-mouthed answers don’t persuade; here’s what you need to say:

“If the choice comes down to Dems vs. Trump, I guess I have to go with Trump, though I hate him.”

Anything else is basically telling me I have poor judgment or liberty is not your primary imperative.
Far from being 'unassailable,' this statement manages to pack a couple clear fallacies into a surprisingly small space.

Either I think Hash has poor judgment or liberty isn't my primary imperative is a false dilemma that rests upon an ad hominem. "Insufficient dedication to liberty" is a character assault, not an argument, and I can disagree with someone without thinking they are poor judges.

It is also fallacious to pit Trump as a candidate against "Dems" as a party. A vote for Trump has little or nothing to do with bad mayors in Washington state, who need to be voted out by their constituents, not by proxy at the federal level by voters in other states.

Those are the ones that jump out of me.

Which isn't to say I'm right, it is just to say that argument is specious.

R U under the impressions that these “bad” mayors don’t represent their constituents? Their constituents are communists who want it “all to burn to the ground” as my friend said yesterday that his Portland Millennial son said to him. The mayor is an institution. The governor who supports the major (Inslee, who if you remember was a presidential candidate) is an institution. Dude, I’ve now listed about a dozen institutions that are threatening my liberty, as you asked me to do.

Who will protect my liberty if not the people from other States?
