Like Saudi Arabia. Are there any countries that keep women down that are flourishing examples of great societies?

The situation, as I've described before, is that power & control are zero-sum: somebody gains, somebody loses. In the balance of previous centuries, for practical reasons, women had their power, and men had theirs. In modern times, women have not relinquished any of their power & control but men have shared-and-shared until they undermined themselves. Democracies exaggerate the problem considerably.

Not sure I know where you are coming from. Until the mid-70's, women couldn't be in charge of their own money. They could be in charge of what clothes the kids wore and what to make for dinner, but they weren't allowed to make any real decisions.

My mother was incredibly intelligent and wanted to go to college. She wasn't allowed, because it was decided for her, by a man, that she would get married and have kids. Taking the power away from men to decide if a woman can go to college isn't a bad thing.

Fuck, my wife is in charge of her own money as well, and I also double whatever she makes and puts it into her bank account... the fact that people think that controlling others by dictating what they can make or spend is never a good thing.

My wife is in charge at home, when I come home it's a join sharing of responsibilities. We share responsibilities, big and small if I can't do something I ask her to do it, and visa versa...

I really don't understand how people think power is a zero-sum situation if you are smart and you know how to negotiate and work things through power can be a joint thing. It's just I normally find that people who demand more power are the ones that normally don't have it to begin with.

The problem is that women tend to make really bad decisions both individually and generally, and they are naturally combative so trying to point that out to them results in even more bad decisions on their part.

So do men. Testosterone isn't a mental superpower.

Yeah, but it's not nearly as dangerous. I would contend that the worst we do is start wars over stupid shit, whereas the worst women do is literally destroy civilization as they are doing in Europe with demographic replacement.

Germany survived losing two world wars. It won't survive it's women being enfranchised. Something to consider..

Modern Germany is a country created by women out of the ashes of WWII. The lions share of the male population was killed. The women in Germany did almost everything from leadership to raising kids without men.

You can take the results as good or bad.

Kath, why do you think Men and Women are so Angry. I don't get it personally. Well, I understand the guys perspective a little because some animals are more equal than other animals under the law when it comes to relationships. But I don't get why women are Angry.

A small subset of angry women are very loud and screechy. Most women are not angry. Are you faced with a barrage of hateful women in your life? I certainly am not. Most people are just going about their business, not worrying about these silly women in their stupid hats.

I see the extremely noisy angry ones as vengeful and intolerant. And for whatever reason they seem to be the only 'leaders of women' if there is such a thing. They have an attitude of its payback time. Occasionally I run into these gals. The biggest problem I see is women are happy and enjoying this relatively new world aren't telling the others to STF up and leave everyone else alone.

The victim culture is alive in a lot of arenas though.

Then clearly trying to disenfranchise citizens based on their sex is a stupid fucking idea. Instead, we should probably focus on how stuff like this came to pass in a system largely dominated by men and uncover the root cause of this disparity in justice.

Or, we can be simpletons and bray about demographic X destroying civilization, because critical thinking and knowing things is just too damn hard.

Meh - when I encounter it (not very often,) I push back plenty. I'm not shy. I'm not running to college campuses to tell assholes to not be assholes, though. Reality will settle in soon enough.
