If that's a narrative that's being peddled, it's an idiotic one. It's not about pro- or anti-Trump. Nor about Democrats or Republicans. Some Democrats like to think it is, and will spin stories about collusion and rigged elections, all because their spectacularly bad candidate lost.

Russia has run propaganda campaigns against the US with the intent to undermine trust in government and generally undermine US credibility abroad, since long before Trump ever announced his candidacy.

The notion that Russia created all the social unrest, BLM/SJW'ers, alt-righters, etc. is nonsense if anyone suggests as much. They simply take advantage of social strife and unrest already in existence, and fan the flames of it as much as possible. You did the same thing to do them on several occasions back when it was the US that had the world's most succesful propaganda outlet(s). The 1956 Hungarian Uprising wasn't begun by Radio Free Europe, for example. But it escalated when RFE broadcasters started telling them that the US would "soon" send troops to held the rebels.
If you want to see the success of RFE other than that, you just have to look to most of Eastern Europe. Countries that were never democratic before falling into the Soviet "sphere of influence", nevertheless adopted liberal democratic constitutions. The openly US-controlled RFE was the singular most popular illegal radio station, and they constantly exalted the ideals of democracy, civil rights, and other Western freedoms.

It's a false dilemma fallacy that it is "EITHER the Democrats/Liberals/SJW/Marxists who are dividing your country, OR it is Russia. It is both. One who started the fire, and a third party who sneaks in to fan the flames. It's still your responsibility to fix. Russia's simply looking out for its own interest like you are. Not their fault that you won't put out the fires. If you were the leader of Russia, and wanted to expand your country's geopolitical influence, would you not seek to diminish your biggest geopolitical rival's influence?

The Soviets would probably have dragged your ass into a dark room and shot you in the back of the head if you started mouthing off about "gender non-comformity", normalizing transgenderism, or even trying to normalize being gay. They did support feminism, but not in the hysterical form it sometimes takes with third wave feminists. While not at Soviet levels, modern day Russia also only has little tolerance for homosexuality.

The difference between Russia and the Soviet Union is really that there is no longer an internationalist and/or ideological imperative to the geopolitcal interests of Russia. Much like the US in the Cold War, they will work with anyone as long as it serves their national (and no longer internationalist) interests.

That said, while in the States the groupings who look to Russia as an ally, are on the right to far right, in Europe, it's also the old European Communists who (still) support anything Russia does while painting the US as the greatest threat to world peace. Not talking SJW Marxists, here, we're talking die hard Trotskyists, Leninists, Stalinists and Maoists who'd reject most if not all the narratives of the SJW's. Russia isn't Communist anymore, but to those old-school Communists Russia is still the go-to ally and eternal, innocent victim of American capitalist aggression.

So, don't expect any Russian leaders are contemplating "world communist domination". If a foreign regime/government works against their national interests, they'll either try and influence directly diplomatically, or if they won't play ball at all, they'll try and undermine the hostile government.
