Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
It's pretty fucking horrible. It's the one thing Gen X women still have going for them. I suspect single Gen X women thank their lucky stars every single night for the degeneracy and horridness of most millennial women.

The Gen X women have trouble getting along with the degenerate millennials as well. My wife is an older mom, as she was 30 and 34 when our kids were born, so that puts her in with some millennial moms. Their brains simply don't work correctlySpeaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 12:51 pmIt's pretty fucking horrible. It's the one thing Gen X women still have going for them. I hope I don't fuck up my kids like their parents have failed them

Just don't indulge them and protect them from everything. Let them lose so they learn how to win.California wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 12:56 pmThe Gen X women have trouble getting along with the degenerate millennials as well. Millennials grew up in a time when kids had to wear bike helmets and shit. I remember the 90s sitting on the truck on the Air Force flight line and we were talking about how this would probably end badly. Avionics guys on Tiger 6 called this bullshit in '96.

Millennials might not know this, but before we were called Gen X, they called us the "latchkey kids" because our Silent Gen parents didn't really give a fuck. We came home, let ourselves in, and took care of ourselves until our parents came around. Gen X grew up ranging miles away from home after school.
The latchkey kids jab was made by Boomers against Silent Gen parents before Boomers became parents for the most part. Think about that jab in relation to what the Millennials became..
Gen X and Lost Gen folks later called the Boomers the "helicopter parents".

I was a Latchkey Kid, but I enjoyed the free reign, I would have bucked the rider if it ever tried to hover over me, but my parents were Beatniks, so they said live your life, just don't come home with the police.

And I don't say Beatnik like its a bad thing, because I am a Beatnik too, I'm just a right wing Beatnik.

There was a lot of upside to my broken home too, like I was much closer to my father than most sons get to be, we were like Batman and Robin. We didn't do family trips, my father took me on adventures. And those are amongst the greatest moments of my life now, only being married to my wife has topped it.

I hope to give my boys some of that experience this summer. Time to start the fishing trips this year.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 1:23 pmThere was a lot of upside to my broken home too, like I was much closer to my father than most sons get to be, we were like Batman and Robin.
