Something's up, though, if there are this many confirmation jobs that haven't even been appointed yet.
I heard something about this. It was before the election and someone was on a podcast talking about even if Trump wins, these beltway appointments are going to be difficult. Something about how they grease each other's wheels and are loyal to the Obama administration. I think they kind of entrench themselves or something and normally this level of appointments are basically done on auto pilot.

That's the way I feel.

I am happy that cunt didn't win, but I am pissed Trump betrayed us and pissed away an opportunity to become a great president.

Same here.

I'm very disappointed in him.

I feel like the Carlin thing about being taken in the back room and being shown the Kennedy assassination is real

I have recently begun to wonder about that myself.

Honestly, I think what has happened is that he has been given the full picture, just like every president before him. They bluster and banter to get into the office, but once there they realize tearing apart a machine that has tenderals centuries in the making, is going to be nearly impossible without help. That would mean completely disinfranchising and possibly off the people that got him elected in the first place.

Teddy Roosevelt encountered similar problems when he ran on a populist platform against Wall Street.

Similar.

But at least Teddy effected change, for better or for worse through sheer determination and the fact our government wasn't a complete joke.

We'll still have election night.

It's a funny thing about faith and loyalty--you've got to have it before you can lose it; then, you've got to wonder whether you ever had it at all.
