China would be cool with a Unified Korea that is allied to China, as long as they have assurances that such an alliance would last. What China does not want are US troops on their border. The will not accept that, ever.
It's a risky plan, to say the least, without being able to deeply trust Unified Korea to not stab them in the back like that, it's clearly not worth it for the Chinese. The Chinese can control North Korea a hell of a lot easier than they can control a United Korea.
