The D&D nerds were not down with that. Corso Italia scared the shit out of them.

In fairness, Corso Italia could be scary, not just the wannabe's, in those days there were real Sicilians about.

Corso Italia? I've driven through waay tougher neighborhoods than that, but you don't see me bragging about it. Shit, some of the areas near where I live are mostly black people but I drive through them all the time and sometimes I will even stop at the gas station there during daylight hours. I'm talking 90% black people. I even drove through there at night. I don't get shaken easily.

I commuted to school, I lived in the Italian neighborhood, which was hard as shoe leather, but I went to school in the Jew neighborhood, which was soft as butter.

See all the Italian kids went to Catholic School, they had their own school, the only non Catholic school in Corso Italia was Oakwood, which was the black school. That was Jamaican territory, they ran that school.
