Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Nominating Gorsuch might the success that Trump will have in the near future. It could have gone way worse.
I wonder what was the Trump team thinking with the health care bill. Was it, OK, let the Ryan and the bunch handle it in and we'll go along?
Trump/Bannon likely had the focus on the Muslim country ban thing... and of course the usual Trump nonsense of crowd-size etc. or what?
Opinions why Trump went with a bill like that?
And the Russia thing... it will go on it's tracks, slowly. Trump should understand that it´s similar like some Benghazi, you don't stop and focus on it, but continue normal work. People here naturally see it just as a continuation of the election rhetoric and a talking point of the democrats unwilling to really look at why they lost. Now that may be, yet Europeans here aren't interested in that. We're more interested in how things will go here with the US relations and this is naturally important. One has to notice that Trump is already on the usual US foreign policy tracks as presidents before him, yet still some Nikki Haley has to say about Trump in an interview: "He is not stopping me from beating up on Russia". See here
Trump lets Nikki to beat up on Russia

From my understanding, it's Trump's bill. Not, of course, that he's capable of drawing up an entire health plan, but he grabbed whatever the GOP showed him and took it to Congress. If that's not the case, I'll need a source, because that's how every story brings it up. "The White House went to congress with the bill".

There's no chance that they would mislead you.GrumpyCatFace wrote:From my understanding, it's Trump's bill. You have evidence to the contrary then, or are you just playing Opposite Day with everything in the news now?Okeefenokee wrote:There's no chance that they would mislead you.GrumpyCatFace wrote:From my understanding, it's Trump's bill. If RyanCare is really TrumpCare then Trump's Metahuman status has been validated once again because against all odds he dodged a bullet.

Hardly. He appears to have taken whatever BS GOP plan they handed him, sent it to Congress, watched it fall flat on its face, threatened them to make it happen, failed completely, then walked away calling it a "win". Typical Trump.Martin Hash wrote:If RyanCare is really TrumpCare then Trump's Metahuman status has been validated once again because against all odds he dodged a bullet.

Dude, that was a win in my book.
My man, Obama, almost intervened in Syria but, against all odds, Putin pulled his ass out of the fire. Win for Obama. (Maybe Obama's Meta too?)
