So what kind of Brexit was the will of the people?

Was it the one where we could have our cake and eat it?

Turns out we can't have our cake and eat it because that was a lie.

Are you still sure you know what was the will of the people?

When the will of the people was based on lies on a bus does it still count now that we know they were lies?

Now we know some actual facts about the consequences of Brexit and the government has a plan, do the people get to have a say in it?


This is the problem with Brexit. The more you know, the more you realise how little you know.

Deliberate lies and misinformation are not the good guy way to conduct a campaign.

True. One side said the other side was wrong and Brexit would work out best for the people, maybe said the other side was clueless and stupid. The other side said the Brexiteers were racist xenophobic white supremacist Nazi bigots.

I know which side sounds like deliberate lies, misinformation, and character assassination to me, which IMHO don't really reflect the "good guy way to conduct a campaign".

Both sides lied through their teeth to get us to vote for them. Now that we know they were lying to us do we get another chance to vote based on some actual facts or do we just accept a decision based on what we now know to be lies?

James Goddard arrested for public order offences related to harassment of MP.

Goddard, originally from Leicester, was recently filmed shouting at Remainer Tory MP Anna Soubry, calling her a "Nazi".

In a Facebook video posted by the group Goddard is heard threatening to “make her life hell”.In another a video posted on Twitter, Goddard is seen confronting police officers during a protest.

He shouts: “You know what, every one of you are fair game. You want a war, I’ll give you a war. You want it, it’s on. Every Saturday, you are fair game.”

Addressing an Asian officer, he screams: “You ain’t even f***ing British, how dare you?"

The far-right campaigner recently asked supporters for "donations" to his PayPal account, saying the money would let him “go the extra mile” after vowing to target Remain MPs six days a week until Brexit goes through.

A spokesman for the Met Police told The Sun Online: "We can confirm that a man in his 30s was arrested at 11.42hrs on Saturday, 12 January outside St James Park Tube station on suspicion of a public order offence.

"He is currently in police custody and is being taken to a central London police station."

Whilst I have no objection to him being arrested for this harassment it is playing into his hands. Just going to make a martyr of him and raise his profile further.

Just remind me, what did you think when it was Republican politicians being harassed at the theatre or in restaurants?
Seem to remember you were calling for police action.

Mind you, it was several large men intimidating a woman so you are always going to run to their defence.
