Re: NFL 2017
I heard rumors that Brady and Belicheck were supposed to announce that they will retire after this game- did they do it?

If that happened the Eagles winning wouldn't be on the front page.Penner wrote:I heard rumors that Brady and Belicheck were supposed to announce that they will retire after this game- did they do it?

Cry baby cry much? The Conservative wrote:Just a heads up, when the first call about the TD shouldn't have been if it was one or not, but the fact that the formation was illegal, but let's ignore that because it was against the pats and the pats paid off the refs right? It appears as if the Eagles were in an illegal formation before the snap.
The fourth down trick play TS to Nick Foles was an illegal formation, should have been called back…extended WR to the top of the screen is off the ball (needs to be on the line with just the OT on inside him). #SB52 #Eagles #Patriots pic.twitter.com/tdX7hIpiGu

The NFL rulebook states that the offense must have seven players on the line of scrimmage. Philadelphia appears to have six, with all five offensive linemen and Torrey Smith to the bottom of the screen. Alshon Jeffery does not appear to be on the line of scrimmage.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.
For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

That’s a valid complaint. There were plenty of other missed calls too, for holding and such though. The Conservative wrote:Just a heads up, when the first call about the TD shouldn't have been if it was one or not, but the fact that the formation was illegal, but let's ignore that because it was against the pats and the pats paid off the refs right? And Alshon Jeffrey being another step forward doesn’t change the defensive reaction to Foles running out for a pass - which is to say none at all.

Not when a blatant rule was ignored.SilverEagle wrote:Cry baby cry much? The Conservative wrote:Just a heads up, when the first call about the TD shouldn't have been if it was one or not, but the fact that the formation was illegal, but let's ignore that because it was against the pats and the pats paid off the refs right? I agree, trust me I saw many and was frustrated at the refs.GrumpyCatFace wrote:That’s a valid complaint. I don’t have a problem, so long as it’s equal to both sides - which this was.The Conservative wrote:I agree, trust me I saw many and was frustrated at the refs.GrumpyCatFace wrote:That’s a valid complaint. No, it wasn't... and that is the problem. If it was fair do you think you'd be saying that if the refs turned over both TD's?GrumpyCatFace wrote:I don’t have a problem, so long as it’s equal to both sides - which this was.The Conservative wrote:I agree, trust me I saw many and was frustrated at the refs.GrumpyCatFace wrote:

The only path to respect for the Patriots is to respect that they didn't win.
Whiners can hang.
They played a close game, and came up short.
Tough shit.
Don't sully your name with bullshit whining.
