In all the "What are you listening to" threads in the DCF/MHF the only album I really connected with was that Neutral Milk Hotel album (which I still love). Anybody got any obscure albums packed full of awesome songs?

I should say that I'm not really into metal, techno, experimental such that you have been into experimental music, but I would listen to anyone of those genres should they hit that sweet spot. I know music is totally subjective and all that, but I'm a big time sucker for melodies and even pop type tunes with a bendy psychedelic feel. Some of my favorite bands (at some point in time of my life) are the Floyd, Stones, Sublime, Hendrix, Beatles, Ben Harper, Marley, and Jonathan Coulton.

I'll listen all the way through if you post it.

Anyway, been stuck on this album for a few a months now.

Have you ever listened to The Unicorns? Pretty obscure, sort of psychedelic, sort of melodic, only released 1 album and a single or two so there isn't a ton of material to sort through. Lot of good songs on this album, starts off slow but tracks 2-6 and 9-12 are longtime favorites of mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me5rq_I4KP0

Music being subjective and all it may not be for you but ya never know

Two completely different genres, but these are my semi-obscure go-to albums. We have similar musical tastes, I think, so you'll probably like them.
