with a serious shortage, plus lumber being shipped to Asia, plus a tariff, it's no wonder lumber prices are so high

We have plenty of timber here, we just won't cut it because of fake science, and during the boom times of globalism we dismantled our timber industry, relying mostly on Canada, who was happy to cut trees. For Wall Street hedgies this was great, more international trading for them to skim dollars off.

Well, my masters are being handed a great excuse for inflation with all this hand wringing over pipelines.

It's not just a pipeline. There was a growing fuel shortage before colonial went down, and small supply chain disruptions in various areas. Globalism is dying and it's taking cheap foreign goods and quick delivery with it.

Supply chain disruptions will still be a problem with short, simple supply lines. The increased costs of using short and simple supply lines are what pushed us towards complex global supply lines in the first place.

Anti-globalism will not solve any of this.

I'm not trying to solve anything. I just recognize the current problems and that globalism is dying. Have you listened to Peter Ziehan ? He seems like someone you would like. Global Strategist, Progressive, lives off stats and what they mean.
I don't believe all his stuff, but I he has benefit and presents a lot of information.

but the inflation adjusted price is $2.25

in 1978 it was $2.38, so actually, the price is flat, to slightly down
