If that was for me, thanks, but I already know the meaning of the term, Hastur.

No I just tossed it into the thread. I hadn't seen it before and I just found out about the Wikipedia entry yesterday. If something is for you, I will quote you first.

The trouble with that definition is that it requires the criticism to be irrational to qualify as TDS.
Now obviously I would say my criticisms are mostly rational and Capps would say the opposite.
My objection is that it is just used to avoid, deflect and insult.

Those who think everyone who criticizes Trump has TDS, and those who think everyone who calls others out on their TDS do so because they don't like any criticism of Trump, are morons

These are strawmen built to prevent self reflection, Monte of course can see the problem with the former, but thinks the later is just the god's honest truth, I wonder why that is?

Only sometimes by the biggest Trump nuthuggers there are, and as a result you lump in everyone who uses the term to describe your reaction to Trump as one of these people, whether it is fair to do so or not

The idea that no one who uses the term TDS ever does so accurately and it's always pure deflection, is just silly. That's an obvious demohack strawman that you fall for hook, line and sinker, because Orange Man Bad

I don't see Martin Hash or myself categorizing everyone who criticizes Trump as having TDS

I do see Montegriffo categorizing everyone who uses the phrase to just be avoiding, deflecting and insulting though

It is the same as when FAKE NEWS is used to dismiss criticism. Only a small amount of media coverage is genuinely fake. It has a bias as media always has but FAKE NEWS is used to avoid answering awkward questions by Trump himself, he did it this very week.

Just because some people use the phrase in this way doesn't mean they all do, and that's where your mind reading skills fail you hard

Martin uses it to avoid even discussing criticisms. As do you.

Ah, thought it felt out of place. And I would have thought TDS fit better in at urbandictionary. Guess it gets accepted if a slang term has become significantly widespread.
