Yeah, me too. Is it because you're vegetarian, or something else about it?
Nah, not because I don't eat meat.
I'm not a radical like you. I leave it to others to decide what they eat. It's their Karma after all.
I don't even object to people hunting wild animals for meat so long as they are not endangered.
I just don't think there's anything manly about shooting an animal from a nice safe distance and having a dead beast on you profile pic is just bragging.
I expect all the hunters here will update their pics any minute now......
Not me, I'm a misanthrope, but I got a soft spot for animals, not like JohnDonne, I'm not going to cry for a lobster, but dance on the grave of a bison, as a talisman of my manhood? Nah, I'll dance on a man's grave if he's earned it, but there's no way for a wild animal to earn that.

Thing about hunting, there's a discipline to it, you gotta be patient, you gotta sit there all fuckin' day and you gotta keep the prey from getting spooked, but the actual shooting of the animal with a scoped rifle? Can't say I found that to be particularly challenging, just shooting a deer standing/sitting unsupported .308 rifle with scope? Ain't no thang, nothing to crow about really.

Baby seals are another matter, hell of a challenge.

Those little furry fuckin' bastards, they're eating the codfish, God save Newfoundland from those dirty little rats of the sea.

Like a fat fuckin' squirrel, taking food from your children's mouths.

No food from my mouth, I don't have kids either, the newfoundlanders over fished the cod so they scapegoat the seal, F them.

Seal hunt is not a trophy hunt, them seals multiply like rabbits, ya gotta cull that population to keep the delicate ecosystem in balance, plus they're tasty, and you can make them into clothes.

When you kill the sharks that eat the seals, then kill the seals that eat the cod, so you can kill the cod, you can always say it's for the "ecosystem."

Well, everybody gotta die sometime, JohnDonne, no doubt the whiskey and ceegars will get me in the end, so tell you what, you can go ahead and dance on my grave, when my seal bludgeoning right hand of God is in the furnace, in avengeance, for your furry little friends so cruelly dispatched, in the name of the British Crown, knock yourself out.

I was going to bring up that idea at some point, I didn't expect a blessing though, so fair enough.

Oh absolutely, not just a blessing, an invitation, just be sure to outlast me, JohnDonne.
