Aristocracies care if their position becomes threatened, so they actually work to preserve liberties from being taken from the masses to avoid revolt, even when they want to give their liberties away. Democracy leads to socialism, not aristocracy silly. The people are to blame, not only the rich ones. Democracies are the enemies of liberty, the Aristocracy are often the champions of liberty in a sea of liberty haters who are the mob and their financiers.Martin Hash wrote:My point is that aristocracies cause liberty to devolve into socialism. The aristocrats don't really care, they still maintain their liberty, it's everybody else that loses theirs. Aristocracies are the ultimate danger to liberty because they cause the populace to lose faith and surrender their ever-decreasing liberty for the relative freedom of socialism.

Yeah you are wrong. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner. The aristocrats usually won't stoop to eating that sheep, that wouldn't be civilized, they could shear it and sell the wool instead, far more profitable and civilized. The mob are fickle and short sighted, the aristocracy plan for the long term and are more set in their ways.Martin Hash wrote:Time will tell. One of us is right, the other wrong.

Re: Tax Plan For Aristocracy
Maybe the reason they think you are wrong, is because you are. Mob rule is the enemy, the aristocrats are the lesser of those two evils. Your country was founded by aristocrats, they were promoters of liberty, even if they had mixed results achieving it, it wasn't democracy that gave you liberty, you should know this.Martin Hash wrote:Dude, like I said, everybody always thinks I'm wrong. Maybe your queen plans long term, but not here. Corporations shoot for short term profits. Who owns the corporations? Not the proles.StCapps wrote: the aristocracy plan for the long term and are more set in their ways.
If the aristocracy didn't want to destroy the middle class, they wouldn't be destroying it. This isn't hard.

The middle class and the lower classes want to destroy the middle class too, why you only blaming just the aristocracy and corporations? Plenty of middle class folks own stock in corporations, what are you babbling about?Kath wrote:Maybe your queen plans long term, but not here. Corporations shoot for short term profits. Explain what power the poor have to make economic decisions?StCapps wrote: The middle class and the lower classes want to destroy the middle class too, why you only blaming the aristocracy?
The middle class didn't decide that it would be a great idea to stagnate wages for everyone but the wealthiest. Nobody middle class said, "you know what, the rich don't have a big enough piece of the pie. Why don't we earn less money so the precious snowflakes can afford extra vacation mansions."

Re: Tax Plan For Aristocracy
You seem to act like the middle class and lower classes are paragons of virtue and all the woes of society are simply the fault the upper classes, you want the 1% to be the scapegoat for all the problems, you want to blame leviathan. Shit is way more complicated than that, you don't want to blame the rest of the electorate, why is that? Special interests pander to mob, same as politicians, the people are most certainly a big part of the problem. Just because special interests also pander to politicians, and vice versa, that doesn't mean they don't pander to the mob, who in turn support what they want a good chunk of the time.Kath wrote:Explain what power the poor have to make economic decisions?StCapps wrote: The middle class and the lower classes want to destroy the middle class too, why you only blaming the aristocracy?

Quit blaming only the politicians and the special interests, the electorate is at fault as well. You only want to blame the most powerful actors in the game, but they need the will of the people to govern, and they could vote them out for pushing policies that destroy the middle class, yet they don't. Why is that? Because the people often support those policies, whether they are being duped by the special interests and the politicians into thinking that, or not, they are at fault to.
If you can't spot the sucker in the room, within the first 30 minutes, you are the sucker. It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money, that's the way the special interests and the politicians view it.
