My guess is that sponsors are looking for a podcaster that podcasts. Once every 8 months probably isn't gonna cut it.

It's hard to imagine any other reason why sponsors would bail. I suppose Dan could have ditched sponsorship.

I read something on his twitter feed, I'm actually not sure how people are coming up with these numbers.

Somebody on twitter claimed he had 20 million on the last show and Dan responded, but didn't deny the number. I imagine only Dan knows how many downloads he gets.
