Re: Who Killed the Left?
Also, ever since the great Ron Paul debacle of 2008, it seems to me that libertarians went through a mass exodus. The truly degenerate ones gravitated back to the democratic party. But others gravitated towards the alt-right (or created it, depending upon how you want to frame their origin story).
You still have the borderline aspies who frame themselves as the true believers of liberty, who dissent from the LP, and talk a big game about the state and whatnot. Those were the core autists that created the veneer of intellectualism for the entire libertarian movement. Those guys are perhaps the biggest losers in this mess. I sort of feel bad for them since their intentions were at least good.

This is closer to reality. Does this mean you agree that libertarians are libertarians for a myriad of reasons, and would split roughly down the middle if forced to choose R or D?Speaker to Animals wrote:Also, ever since the great Ron Paul debacle of 2008, it seems to me that libertarians went through a mass exodus. Yes. An important issue, but hardly as pressing as immigration and globalism.
Also, you get caught up in minutia like that. What we are seeing is a new population emerging in the cities of the western world. The degeneracy we see comes from that. So do the demands for open borders and these trade deals that are really just deals to destroy the lives of most of the workers in our nations. Libertarians are a part of that beast. Perhaps, if it is successful, and the cities of the western world split off and form their own trans-national globalist entity, the libertarians and the marxists would be the primary two political forces of that polity. But here in America, they are essentially on the same side: the beast.

Citing Ann Coulter to define a political ideology. I never thought we'd find a new low, but there it is.Speaker to Animals wrote:Martin Hash wrote:Is there anyone else in the world who thinks Libertarians are closet Democrats?
Pretty sure I read Ann Coulter mention it once.
I think more people realize this fact than you might want to entertain. But because libertarians are such a fucking joke, not many people really care to talk about it. I just think it's funny so I talk about it, especially to get the libertarians posturing again.

Citing you on the need for a 3rd political party. There's the new low.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Citing Ann Coulter to define a political ideology. And you prove my point. If I am running a bar, I must provide music that is easy to obtain and won't piss off my clientele, if that is country and western than that is country and western. The two exconvicts just passing through don't rate. The point of a political party is to win elections. The cowardly dirty dick bitch who is a democrat but doesnt want to admit it, doesnt rate.GrumpyCatFace wrote:clubgop wrote:Citing you on the need for a 3rd political party. The fucks wrong with queen Ann? She's got a better finger on the pulse of the populist right than anyone here excepting me. Pretty sure I had Trump predicted before she did.
