This year's MHF super bowl chat is gonna be great. Just imagine, three hours of us drunk together. Only the election chat was more epic. How long were we up? Four? Luckily, all my profs were up too.

I'm sure plenty of the guys from the glory days of the NBA would be certified douchenozzles in the internet/ESPN/TMZ age.

Would LeBron be viewed as much of a douche if his only coverage came in the weekly sports column by crusty old guys and the occasional piece in Sports Illustrated?
Douches are fine. Fake passive aggressive bitches are an other matter.

Of course Lebron was like 25 when he did that, I am fairly confident most of the posters here did some pretty d-bag shit in retrospect when they were 25. Hell, I was probably just getting over leaning socialist for heaven's sake.
Yeah, but not with the full support of an international media machine. That was fucking ridiculous.
On the whole, would you or I conduct ourselves better publicly over an extreme public career that basically began at age 16?

TMZ would be like "whoa, apeman caught with 15 strippers and a kilo of drugs AGAIN"

My bitches would have bitches, Leborn would look like jesus in comparison
Vice is fine. Humiliating a city on purpose that rooted for you. Go fuck yourself.

I'm a fan. Guy's had the whole world kissing his ass since he was 12. His mom seems kind of messed up and I think his dad wasn't around.

Growing up to be anything other than a raging psychopath in such a situation is an accomplishment. He seems to me like a really decent guy who appreciates his good fortune. I loved when he rushed that fan who won the half court shot contest. He's sitting there watching, totally aware of the fact that the $20k or whatever is a huge deal for normal people, empathizing with the fan and so happy for him when he got it.

I think the doughey micropenised sports reporters are the childish ones, or kind of womanly. Pecking over his every move, clucking disapproval at every opportunity.

Even the decision. He raised $2 million for a great charity. The manchildren were the ones wailing about how the basketball player hurt their feelings by switching teams on the TV show.

Above all, I enjoy watching him play.

You mean he used the charity as a shield for his dickishness. There are plenty of guys who came from poverty and did nit reach his level of douchiness like Jimmy Butler. The fact that he hugged a guy who made a hard shot is a proof of his character. GTFO. You think if the public would not see him trough an ESPN filter he would be more popular instead of less popular? Every little move? Was his handling of Blatt criticized much?

He was a free agent.

He made his decision on a dumb little TV show and gave all the money to needy children. On the whole, it was obviously a good thing to do.

A bunch of hysterical bitches worked themselves into a frenzy over this fairly minor event, claimed that it hurt their feels and cried about it for years, partially because they confuse entertainment for real life.

Even they were eventually appeased when he came back and carried the city of failure to victory against perhaps the most destructive machine the NBA has ever known. What a fantastic story line. One of the better championship efforts of our lifetimes.

Thems the facts.

He does more than his fair share of charity and consistently comes across as a warm, decent guy. He plays himself into the ground. He's a team player who has often been criticized for being too unselfish. Don't hear many stories about him being a dick off the court, unlike Jordan who is a MASSIVE one.

I also like the fact that he brought some of his friends up with him.

Admittedly, I'm not into the whole TMZ/Skip Bayless/Yammering moron thing, and more into the games themselves, so perhaps I missed something. But Lebron seems like he'd be a great guy to have a beer with. Maybe he should run for office.

Yeah, he had a clash with his coach and kind of kicked his legs out. First time that's ever happened in the NBA. They then won the championship.

It was not an early morning Nickelodeon show. he used the biggest platform he could and tortured CLE for a whole hour. Entertainment is real life, if an actor spends an hour trashing the US in every aspect, don't be surprised if he gets killed at the US Box Office. If Draymond's antics get shut down early the Cavs lose or face the Thunder. Second time Cavs vs Warriors is a horrible in terms of who to root for. Plenty of horrible rich people do charity. Plenty of other players would play themselves to the ground for the money he is getting. He got scared/did not show up in a couple of great moments. He is a selfish fucker who promotes himself to pg without telling anybody. LeBron is fucking bland with under average NBA swag. First he praised him to the high havens, then there was a failed coup and after that he fired a coach with a winning record.
