We removed the French. Half of our traditional population is from Germany and even up until the turn of the century some counties kept records in German. The Germans tried to fix the English the English fucked up.

I didn't realise that. I must admit the Germans do have a nice simple way of spelling where you pronounce every letter unlike the French who barely ever pronounce the last letter. You are still wrong of course but that's interesting, thanks.
