Well, like I said, welcome to the time when the masks start to come off.

It's a matter of how attached each of is to the degeneracy that is destroying our civilization. We all got the bug. The question is whether we recognize that and wish to contain or if we are just going to secret foster our fealty to things like murder of babies for convenience while pretending as though we are not really part of the degeneracy.

We ALL have been infected with the degeneracy of modernity.

What you are about to see is a large group of people who signaled their opposition to the degeneracy in it's extremes, but when the degeneracy itself is threatened, they are going to come out as the "middle ground". And when that doesn't work, the mask comes off.

Life is pretty cheap in the 21st century, fam. A lot cheaper than in 1776.

Here's the question: when does the right to due process of law attach to any of us?

Abortion, here and now in the US (and beyond any dispute after Roe), is most certainly an action sanctioned and controlled by the state.

When does a human being obtain the right to due process of law before deprivation of life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness? (Wink, wink: not to mention: "property," which is what all this talk-talk is really about, IMNSHO).

I'm not comfortable with the idea of forcing a victim to carry a full term pregnancy for the sake of life. We're fortunate in current year that life is plenty plentiful. A little too plentiful where I live. Maybe after those multicultural demographics collapse society, humanity dies off and life becomes scarce I can get on board with forced births, but not yet
Outlawing murder is not forced birth.

I suppose the crux seems to be- do the property rights of the mother supercede the life rights of the fetus? Can't have it both ways, one has to give.

Seeing as the fetus has no agency over its own life, shit, the little bugger probably can't even balance a checkbook, I would assume the mother has the right, whether morally justified or not, to assert her own rights and remove the squatter from her property.

I'm getting a vae victis vibe from the whole thing. Woe to the vanquished. Yeah it's not fair, but what are the fetuses going to do about it? Jack shit, that's what

Woe to the fetus

Due process isn't nearly so complicated as you might think, although it requires effort. Certainly more effort than just smashing the weak into a curb-stomp. For things that matter, we spend a ton--a literal shitload--of assets and effort on sorting out due process of law every single day.

Vae victis is one philosophy, just not the one adopted in Philadelphia, as far as I can tell.

Well hey brother if you've got an easy lawful answer to what by all accounts appears to be a morally grey area that our society has spent decades (if not centuries) grappling with, I'm all ears.

Seems to be a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation to me.

It's the guys on both sides that see it as an easily defined black and white issue that I find hard to agree with.

Easy-Lawful:
Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

I really don't understand the right's obsession with abortion, notably Ben Shapiro. It's all just virtue signaling nonsense as far as I'm concerned. Coming out against dead babies doesn't seem particularly brave to me either. For the party that will more-than-likely pride themselves on making the tough decisions in life, stretching the limits of morality to accomplish what must be done, doing the difficult tasks that no one else wants to do, they sure do seem to act like little bitches when it comes down to ending one "life" for the sake of another
The left is obsessed too. It only took them a day to switch from children in cages to muh abortion rights after the Kennedy announcement.
