I may be wrong here, but I can't seem to find any specific Dutch law forbidding campaigning in their country. The Turks got one, but noone really follows it there.

Weird. I had seen people saying it's a law but this seems to imply there isn't one.
According to broadcaster NOS, Rutte has held talks with the counter-terrorism tzar Dick Schoof and Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb about the pending visit. Legal experts say that the government has few options but that Aboutaleb can ban the meeting on public order grounds.

Exactly. Only mention of a law I can find seems to be a Turkish one.

This is nothing but Dutch campaigning, as they don't want to look soft on muslims and lose too many votes to Wilders.

But the portrayal of the story seems to be some "Battle of Vienna" type of shit.

We're truly living in "fake news" times.

Not trying to defend Erdogan, or even Turkey here, but this reeks of propaganda and the European need to find some threat they're able to bash on. Russia has proven themselves a bit too scary and capable, so Turkey seems like a fitting target. But they're really not. We're going to regret antagonizing the Turks, no matter how fucked up their path is looking at the moment.

A lot of people suspected it was a show of force for the sitting power to look tough on Muslims with elections a couple days away. The Turkroaches did fucking riot over it though and that pisses me off. They are acting like spoiled children instead of guests. They have no right to riot.

It depends. The Turks with only a Turkish citizenship should shut up and be thankful.

The problematic part is the ones with dual citizenship. If you're a dutch citizen, you definitely should have the right to protest whatever silly shit the Dutch government is doing, but when they're also Turkish citizens, they're the ones targeted by the campaigning of the Turkish government.

Muslim Turks living in Holland swarm the streets of Rotterdam in support of Turkey following the controversy between the two countries. This controversy involved one of Turkey's ministers being barred from entering the country. The President of Turkey, in self-righteous Islamic indignation, asserted the Dutch were Nazi remnants and fascism. The President also entertained the possibility of sanctioning Netherlands. Shocking footage from #Rotterdam, Holland. When foreigners flood your streets and wave foreign flag it used to mean invasion.
The fuck man? It's bad enough when mestizos do it in California but this just seems worse.

What exactly does that look like to you? An occupation of a European country by a few hundred Arabs?

Would a Tet-type offensive work this time? It played on the hearts and... just the hearts, actually, of civilians far from the scene, but it was a loser in fact (nice try, though.) A Muslim Tet offensive probably would instill an added sense of nationalism among the already teetering right civilians and overthrow governments in Europe. It might be very bloody to begin with and the aftermath bloodier still.
So, I'm all for it!

It kind of feels like ISIS is gearing up for an offensive in Europe. It's obviously not going to gain territory for them, but a lot of people will likely die if it happens.

All those ships turning off their positioning systems and going to African ports should tell you quite enough about what is going down. The numbers of ISIS people already caught amongst the recent wave of migrants should also indicate to you something is afoot.

I am not saying it will necessarily happen. For all I know, intelligence services in Europe are waging a quiet war against ISIS inside Europe to keep it from happening (I don't doubt French intelligence are doing just that). But it looks inevitable now. Eventually it will happen.

As far as objectives.. I wouldn't compare ISIS' objectives with those of Viet Cong and NVA. ISIS is interested in fomenting mass violence in the western world. They believe if they can provoke us into an all-out invasion of the Levant, they will defeat us in an epic battle at a town called Dabiq, and the end times will come.

Personally, I'd like to give them that battle and put to rest their doomsday prophecy for good.

I've got a sinking feeling that you don't know what an Arab is.
