I'm not a Twitter fan. I have an account, but I find it as hard to sift through as the reddit. I'm hardly ever there except to look at pretty pictures from space and such.

Rumor is that Twitter censors posts, but I don't have any context for that.
Account abandoned.

CNN???

I like to take opposition news and filter through Twitter reporters I have some confidence in to weed out tin foil. Realclear is the best site to find disparate views.

Twitter is the arbitrator of truth for me right now.

Is that bad??
Y- I mean no! Of course not. It's not like people would go on there and lie to you guy.

At this stage, I'm wondering what even the point of internet debate is anymore. I can post a story and sources, but if you can just say "FAKE NEWS POST A REAL SOURCE OR GTFO" and enough people rally around that enough to not even discuss it, you can effectively run me out. By the same token, if you try to follow me to one of the liberal forums I'm on and start telling everyone our discussion is all based on "fake news" in our convo threads, the mods (who actually do their jobs) will just hit you with a probation and we all go about our circle-jerking business. "Neutral" battlegrounds like Facebook and Twitter becomes a game where the side that can more effectively (ab)use the reporting system to silence opposition, wins.

Rightys in their echo chambers, leftys in theirs, and never the twain shall meet again. The only time our respective realities intersect is when I physically point my gun at your face (or vice versa).

So mods that ban people for their opposing views are good but echo chambers are bad? Make up your mind.

At what point did I suggest my liberal forums weren't echo chambers? ;)

Is Al Jazeera still around in English? I thought they ran out of money after accusing the NFL of using steroids and closed up.

I agree that getting other country's state-sponsored propaganda (BBC/RT) definitely helps to form a more complete picture of the news.
I think they shut down the America wing. The English branch is still up.

Oh, and she already had her resignation put in, and another job lined up. I get it.
