I'm making the plunge into safety razors. I think the key is the oil you use to shave. I'm just growing my beard out rn and need to hit up my neck line. Once it gets hot I suppose I'll buy an electric that isn't owned by Proctor gamble

Never used Gellete. Just used a safety razor and astra titanium blades. 100 pack has lasted me 3 years.
What is it with you people using automated blades, etc? Seriously, man up.
Gellete is for pussies anyway, multi-blade bullshit.
Safety razor and 100 blades cost me $25 bucks. Done deal.

Who do you think makes them for Gillette? Probably the same factory.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:50 pmeh.. nah. Not going to cut at my face and neck with Chinese knock-off blades.
Honestly the only difference I found between the knockoffs and the real thing was how it attached to the handle, the knockoffs occasionally didn't stay on as well. Shave wise, zero difference.

American corps still use quality control at those factories, though.Ph64 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:59 pmWho do you think makes them for Gillette? That is an awfully big leap of faith.

Possibly, but the Gillette fusion blades have not failed me ever and it's going to be tough finding a suitable replacement.
I tried the other one once, that is the nearest competitor, but it was obviously more designed for a chick's legs. The housing of the blades is just too big. Was worth a try.
