I've only shot full auto twice, and get the feeling you might as well be blasting away with bird-shot with your 870 at a target 80 yards downrange. Lots of flash and pop; and makes you an easy target.*

The all you need is a pod-grip, Trijicon sight, and a pick-up truck full of 20rd mags, no automatic fire required at all.

SCAR 17, pod-grip, Trijicon sight, and then just start loading mags, that's all the prep that was needed there, no need for all the rest of that crap.

7-6-2 repetition would require less skills for more kills, SCAR 17 properly zeroed, pod-grip, tactical sight? It's like point and click, a monkey could score 500 headshots with that.

Drop a few of them stone cold dead, rapid fire, then they're pinned down, then you just take them at your leisure, with bipod supported from a static position, it's effortless.

Monolithic reciever, free floating barrel, recoil mechanism, the way they build rifles now, they're so inherently accurate, anybody can shoot like a sniper at 500 yards, point and click.

A military sniper could do it from two miles away, but at a quarter mile, a retarded fat kid could do it.

There's literally no legislative defense against this threat, if you're serious about defending against this threat, it would have to be an operational defense, so for the Las Vegas scenario, if you told the Secret Service to defend against that threat, and they couldn't clear the entire Mandalay Bay, then they have to go to counter-sniper drill, acoustic small arms fire detector direction finders, and their own snipers posted in overwatch, and everybody who goes into the arena, can be offered a ballistic helmet and vest with inserts. If not, then there's no countermeasure.

Like, if Donald Trump had been the show there? The guy would have been dead within twenty seconds of opening fire. Well, actually, as soon as he broke the window with the hammer, blam, dead, right there, so, wouldn't even get a chance to open fire if he had to break glass.

Oh and by the way, back in the day in the UK, when the PIRA was an active threat, that's how they did it, if you went to a public event like that, the Edinburgh Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle? British Army countersnipers all around the top of the bleachers, watching the crowd with binos, and scanning all the plausible positions of fire around the area with snipers and thermal imagers, so, can be done.
