We could create a backstory to explain why they were kept secret for a long time, etc. Make the federal government out to be complicit and trying to keep people ignorant of important information. The sword is always at all of our throats, since the invention of nuclear weapons and then their proliferation. I live an area that would see utter destruction, being as close to Seattle as I am. Many argue that's why we have peace, the mutually assured destruction. But I don't hope for the death of civilization, I don't hope for another Cuban Missile Crisis.

Why? Why do you wish for such pain and suffering? Would you have us enter another World War? Just so men in uniforms can distinguish themselves in the mud and blood of combat? I hope it never comes.
